Emily Bronte and Jane Austen

At this point I am currently reading:

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

This book was first published in 1847.

I have read an amazing book called Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

If you haven't read this book I recommend it extremely. Prepare yourself though; this book is very wordy (it was first published in 1813.)

Brisingr

I finished Forever in Blue:

Near the end of June I read Only the Good Spy Young (#3 in the Gallagher Girl series)

and just about this entire month I have been reading the latest book in the Eragon series, Brisingr.

 *spoiler warning*

Oh my gosh!!!! It was amazing! but I cried crocodile tears when Oromis and Glaedr died. I loved them. I learned so much in this book. Tons of things happened. For one example what about the Eldunari, heart of hearts. It was outstanding!

Finally... Reading the 4th

So I'm finally reading the last book in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series. a.k.a.
Forever in Blue the Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood

Its pretty good. I was on a slow point on it for a while but eventually I kind of got going. I have only about 50 pages left in it. Even though its taken forever I'm glad that I'm almost done.

Hmm....What to read next?

I'm not sure what I'm going to read next but I guess I will continue with Becca's list. So that means to finish the Peter and the Starcatchers series.

Peter and The Shadow Thieves (#2) &

Peter and The Secret of Rundoon (#3)

If you want to keep up with my books in a faster way you can look at my goodreads profile.

Picked up some books at The Public Library

I just ran by the public library (which I'm using since school's out) and picked up the rest of the books for the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. This Consists of

Girls in Pants:  The Third Summer of the Sisterhood

which I'm about 13 or 14 pages into. This is the penultimate (next to last) book in the series.

Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood

Which is the last book in the series.

Second Summer of the Sisterhood

Book: Second Summer of the Sisterhood

I just finished this one. Man! It was good but I almost cried my eyes out. The series is one of those chick books that make you feel more emotional than anybody would think possible. I would give a lot more details but I already did a review on my goodreads so I'm kind of reviewed out, I guess?

What really sucks  though is that I finished this book and I didn't have another book from the library. but luckily I have a couple of books on my bookshelf I haven't read. (I'll tell you about it in a sec.)

BOOK: SORCERER'S APPRENTICE!!!

OMG I JUST FOUND OUT THIS BOOK IS GOING TO BE A MOVIE!!!! THE COMMERCIAL FOR WAS JUST ON THE REDBOX MOVIE CHEAL'S (short for Michaela, my lil sis.) WATCHING, ALICE IN WONDERLAND!

Book: Royal Blood (#6 Vampire Kisses)

I've had this book forever I even own it but I haven't gotten to reading it for some reason. But I think I may start it in a second.

Another book I own is...

Book: Brisingr (#3 Eragon)

Oddly enough, I own this book too. I've even let friends borrow it before. Sadly and shamefully, I haven't read it yet. But I will.
(Book that got in the way: Twilight)

I tried to read it once and was almost halfway through it when the Twilight phase came through, and stupidly I put down Brisingr and started the Twilight Saga. (No dis to Twilight I just wish I had continued and finished Brisingr.)

I finished Peter and the Starcatchers

*SPOILER WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK (THE TITLE) DON'T READ THIS*

I have finished Peter and the Starcatchers. It was really really really good!!!! but PETER IS IMMORTAL!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It makes me SOOOOO MADDD!!!! because if he is immortal HE CAN'T BE WITH MOLLY!!! AND WILL BE THE SAME WHILE SHE GROWS OLD AND DIES!!!! :' ( WAHHHHH!!!!  but there are two more books in the series so I guess that I'll wait and see if anything happens!

Sincerely,
Simply Savannah

Peter and the Starcatchers

A Post I wrote on my other blog on May 24, 2010.

Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson Its very good and was recommended to me by my friend Rebecca. (She loves reading even more than I do. Amazing, right? 8) ) Either way the book is really good and you should read it most definitely.

*WARNING FROM THIS POINT ON THEIR ARE SPOILERS FOR THE BOOK LISTED ABOVE IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT DON'T READ THE REST OF THIS UNTIL YOU HAVE!!!!! NOT KIDDING*

Molly and Peter are so cute together. At the point I am at Molly and Peter split at the savages because peter wanted to save his friends while Molly wanted to get the treasure. As you can see they have an issue on disagreeing and about who's boss. Haha. Anyways, Peter got captured and just jumped in with Mister Grin who I have know clue about what he is!!! ITS SCARY!!! (I was thinking during this: NO PETER! NOOOO!!!!!!) but overall I think he's going to be ok. I mean seriously these are my reasons:

1. He's the main character, HE CAN'T DIE
2. Its published by Disney (AND DISNEY DOESN'T KILL PEOPLE)
3. There's more books in the series
4. HE HAS TO LIVE....(AND BE WITH MOLLY)

And I think those are some very hard hitting reasons. So HE'S GOING TO LIVE!!!! (i hope. :{ )

Sadly, I have to go even though I seriously want to keep ranting about this. I'm on Mrs. Whyte's computer afterschool, and I think my mom may be ready to leave + i don't want to overuse my welcome (ITS RUDE PEOPLE!!!!) Have to go!

Becca's Book List

Ok...so I have a best friend named Rebbecca (Becca for short.) And Becca is an outstanding reader. I'm not kidding you!!! SHE READS LIKE A MANIAC!!! (If we were in a reading contest she would have read every book twice by the time I even finished the first two! not really I'm not that slow but still.) So...(to get to the point.) Becca made a book list to read because...well...I've known Becca for years and she is always recommending books for me to read but I always end up reading something else and never getting to her books. (Sorry bout that Becca! :(  ) and she finally put her book down and wrote me a list of MUST READ EVEN IF IT KILLS ME books. Well...here's the list. I tell you which ones I've read afterwards. Who knows maybe you'd like to read some of them too.

  • Eragon by Christopher Paolini
  • The Heir Chronicles by Cinda Williams Chima
  • Inkheart (series) by Cornealia Funke
  • Lord of the Rings (series) by J.R.R. Tolkien
  • Vampire Academy (series) by Richelle Mead
  • Vampirates by Justin Somper
  • Children of the Lamp by Philip Kerr
  • Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson
  • The Frog Princess (series) by E.D. Baker
  • Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares
  • Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan
  • Dragon Keeper series by Carole Wilkinson
  • Bloodline series by Kate Cary
  • Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

I've read Eragon and Eldest of the Eragon series,

the first book of the Peter and the Starcatchers series,

The first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series,

and the first book in the Blood line series.
so I guess I'm beginning on that list and I'll get a lot more of time since summer's here. Actually I'm planning on running by the library sometime and getting the 2nd book in The Peter and the Starcatchers and in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants which will get me farther on the list. I'm hoping to finish Becca's list before summer ends but man that's one monster of a list.

The Beginning of Savannah's Book Blog

Hi. My name is Savannah, and the truth is I LOVE BOOKS! So in honor of my love for books I have made my own blog in dedication of books I have read/am reading/will read. On my other blog, A Spider Web Covered Corner, I sometimes write about books I'm currently reading or am planning on reading. So...Here I go.

The latest book I have read I finished yesterday morning. It was called Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry, and Ridley Pearson. It was a very good book. I liked it a lot. (right about now I was planning on telling you what type of books I like to read, but really I read any type of book. Except NON FICTION, I NEVER READ NON FICTION. Its boring! I mean seriously who wants to read about how....well idk I don't read them so how would I know what to put there. Oh well.) Anyways Peter and the Starcatchers is about how Peter Pan became Peter Pan. (And I don't know where the Pan part came from, I really need to read the original. sometime later.) It tells the adventurous tale and is AMAZING!!!! I completely loved it so find this book at your nearest library/Hastings/Books.A.Million/Barnes&Noble!!!!

Thanks For Reading,
Savannah :)
